Tamlin and The Fall’s debut capsule collection is giving both bag and jewelry lovers yet another reason to add to their stash. Straddling the forms and functions of clutch and jewellery, the exquisitely designed minaudieres are palm-sized sculptures that could hold a lip gloss or two.
Three of nature’s most enduring forms, the egg, the rock and the shell, inspired the three forms of minaudieres in this collection. The Egg, so named for its shape, features a space lined with matte black alligator leather encased within a shell of solid sterling silver. The beautifully lined interior is revealed when the minaudiere is opened along the fissure line.
Looking less organic than the Egg, the Rock is a mirrored gem that dazzles the eyes with its multi-faceted crystalline design carved from solid sterling silver.
Influenced by the sea, the Shell echoes the glitter of the sun’s reflection on water in its polished sterling silver casing. Likewise, the protective covering of the sand in its hand guard design and the soft, weathered lines of the shells that litter the ocean floor in its form.
Handmade in New York with care and pride in a collaborative effort between Tamlin and The Fall’s founder Jessamee Sanders and fellow designer Elise Ballegeer , every piece in the collection can be customized in various finishes from different metals, leathers and feathers to hammered wristlet chains.
