As we approach the end of 2013, here on WTF, we put together a review of this year’s Top 5 Best Dressed! Check it out below, and share with us what do you think.

Though she was ultimately overshadowed by another former Disney star’s antics at this year’s VMAs, Selena Gomez pulled off a more elusive feat: she looked sexy and decidedly grown-up without seeming sleazy. This Versace gown was provocative in all the right ways—with a peel-away design that exposed a corset top—and landed Gomez on the sartorial map. She expertly navigated the fine line between revealing and showing too much. Along with her sleek hair and dark makeup, Gomez isn’t hanging out on Waverly Place any longer.
Mariah Carey’s sling bling

Vocal queen Mariah Carey dislocated her shoulder this summer while filming a music video for the remix of her single “#Beautiful.” Not content to let bodily injury impinge on her style, the pop songstress sported a series of elaborately designed slings along with her designer dresses to turn her injury into a sartorial statement. Whether studded, as at The Butler premiere, feathered or bedazzled, Mimi is determined to look fancy and fabulous.

After a summer spent shocking America with increasingly provocative getups—she told MTV that her ultimate look was a mix of “white trash and Chanel”—the former Hannah Montana did an about-face with this Marc Jacobs gown for Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars. The glittery green dress with a daringly low back is just the right mix of youthfulness and sparkle for the pop star. No furry animals, no crazy hemlines, no tongue wagging; here, Miley is dazzling and, dare we say, elegant.
Kate Middleton in Emilia Wickstead

As she navigated her first pregnancy on a global stage, the Duchess of Cambridge was well aware that millions of eyes were upon her. Early in the pregnancy, she disguised her growing stomach with wrap dresses and body-skimming overcoats—no muumuus or leggings for the woman who has redefined conservative chic. In this pale blue Emilia Wickstead dress, she displayed her baby bump for the first time during a visit to the National Portrait Gallery. She looked radiant, comfortable and still entirely appropriate for the occasion, showing off her shape without overexposing it. Kate has rarely, if ever, had a sartorial stumble since her royal engagement. Her maternity style was no exception.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

2013 was a breakout year for this young actress: the star of the Hunger Games franchise and Silver Linings Playbook landed a high-profile ad campaign as the face of the major fashion house Dior. Here, she stunned in one of their creations at the Oscars. The pale pink princess gown is fitted through the hips, giving her an ethereal mermaid look. Lawrence endeared herself to viewers by tripping as she went up the stairs to accept her Best Actress trophy. Fall or not, she still looked like a radiant star.
