“This definitely came as a surprise to me, but a great one! The competition was strong and I was up against some amazing talent. The S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 competition has given me the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the region’s most esteemed names in fine cuisine and the experience invaluable,” said Kirk Westaway.

In the coming months, Kirk will be mentored by a celebrated culinary artist who will guide him in his journey to the finals. In addition to the opportunity to compete on the world stage, he will collaborate with a young fashion designer, handpicked by Vogue Italia, who will work on a fashion creation inspired by his signature dish.
