Michael Kors’ Philanthrophic Landmark

Michael Kors certainly knows how to make a great dress—a great handbag, a great pair of shoes, and a great watch. But his talent doesn’t only stop at fashion.

In 2013, the designer launched a philanthropic initiative #WatchHungerStop, which aims to alleviate global childhood starvation. Now, he has reached a landmark moment in the campaign: With the help of Kors loyalists and World Food Programme (WFP), five million meals have been delivered to hungry children around the globe.

“I’m grateful and thrilled,” enthuses Kors. “We joined with the United Nations’ World Food Programme in the belief that our customers would join us in fighting this huge and solvable problem, and they have.”

So, here’s how you can start helping and look great while doing so. For every watch from the new limited edition Michael Kors 100 Series sold, the American label will donate $25 to the charity, enabling 100 children from hunger-striken areas to receive a nutritious meal. Throughout the month of October, in conjunction with World Food Day, visitors to Michael Kors stores will also be able to donate directly to the WFP at the point of sale.
