Joyce Cares collaborates with Korean designer Juun.J to support the 1,600 Pandas environmental awareness project that has taken Hong Kong by storm.

French artist Paulo Grangeon conceived the project to raise awareness about the loss of the Giant Panda species, which are rapidly heading towards extinction. Grangeon created 1,600 adorable papier-mache bears which are exhibited in public spaces all around the world, raising awareness and shining a spotlight on the consequences of human activity on animals, the environment and nature. The project is currently in Hong Kong at newly opened cultural hub PMQ.

Joyce Cares often works with charitable organizations to aid their efforts and raise awareness, as well as supporting budding designers like Juun.J. The designer, a fervent supporter of saving the Giant Pandas created a collection of t-shirts, cushions, tote bags, clutches and notebooks with the designer’s custom panda print. Joyce Cares’ space at PMQ has transformed into a Juun.J pop-up store, showcasing the collection and with all proceeds going to the World Wildlife Fund.

Celebrities, fashionistas and supporters of the cause gathered for an elegant cocktail party to celebrate the launch of the collection and to celebrate the arrival of the pandas at PMQ.
