3.1 Phillip Lim heads to an unexpected location for its spring-summer 2016 campaign. Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen captured model Liya Kebede in her hometown of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for a series of candid images.
The official press release states that the team was minimal in order to get the real moments—a photographer, an assistant, producer, Liya and Phillip Lim were the only team there. In the advertisements, Liya is joined by her mother and father and her four brothers.
