With her role as Harper’s Bazaar’s global fashion director; Carine Roitfeld has tapped what she describes as “iconic women” to appear in the magazine’s September issue.
The covers revealed on WWD feature pop star Lady Gaga, supermodel Linda Evangelista (who also recently covered Vogue Japan) and actress Penelope Cruz photographed by Sebastian Faena. “For all the icons, I used fishnets. Fishnets are like my link,” she said, noting that in the portfolio they can be seen as tights, gloves or as part of dresses, for example,” Carine told the news publication about her styling for the shoot.
