First Chinese St. Regis Resort Opens In Lhasa

The St. Regis Lhasa has opened its doors, becoming the first international luxury hotel in Tibet’s capital. It is the third St. Regis branded hotel in China, with the others being in Beijing and Shanghai, but it is also the first St. Regis resort in China.

The Starwood-managed retreat is located 3,680 meters above sea level in the famous ancient Barkhor area of Tibet.

It comprises 150 rooms and villas as well as 12 suites. Other features include restaurants, bars, an Iridium Spa, ballroom and a state-of-the-art meeting space.
