On show now at Scotts Square is the Espresso Italiano exhibition, where coffee lovers and geeks can drink in the history and culture of Italian coffee — for free!

Taking place from 15 July to 2 August (11am to 9pm daily) at the Level 1 Atrium, the Espresso Italiano exhibition is curated by the Colosseum Cultural Association, with support from the Italian Cultural Institute in Singapore, and pays homage to the timeless traditions of Italian coffee culture.

Step back in time and discover how the well-loved beverage became a staple in Italian culture. See how the humble espresso has made an impact on our world, and take a closer look at the evolution of coffee houses as the scene changes over the years. What’s more, expect to feast your eyes on marvellous reproduced paintings that depict familiar coffee-drinking methods and rituals.

From now till 2 August, enjoy a complimentary cup of illy coffee of your choice when you spend a minimum of $50 in a single receipt at Scotts Square. If you spend a minimum of $80 in a single receipt, you’ll receive a $5 parking rebate (or ComfortDelGro taxi voucher). Plus, accumulate $800 in two same-day receipts and you’ll be the proud owner of a bottle of Bruno Dangin Cremant de Bourgogne organic sparkling wine. Coffee, art, history, shopping – what could be a better combination?
