David Yurman recently sponsored Zonta Club‘s annual Hong Kong charity premiere. Held at AMC Cinemas, Pacific Place, the purpose of the evening was to raise funds for services that support women.
The film in question was Roman Polanski‘s latest work, “The Ghost Writer”, starring Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor.
The movie is about an unnamed author who is hired to complete the memoirs of the former British Minister, Adam Lang. The writer becomes involved in the saga after the politician’s previous ghost writer is found dead – washed up on a beach in New England.
More than 200 people attended the gala, including Elsie Leung Oi Sie, GBM, JP, Pauline Ng, Bonnie Huo, Tse Ling Ling, Helen Fong, Eleanor Morris, Sally & Matthew Chan, and Kathleen Yip.
The Zonta Club was one of the earliest women’s organizations ever formed in Hong Kong and still strives today to promote the welfare of women in Hong Kong and abroad.
