Swiss writing instruments and accessories brand Caran d’Ache held a cocktail event in Hong Kong for charity that was graced by Miss World Canada 2009 Lena Ma. Ma is also the Chi Heng Foundation Canada Ambassador and part of the proceeds from sales at the event benefited this Hong Kong-based foundation.
Funded by private donors, Chi Heng works primarily on AIDS issues and children in Central China. Intriguingly, in her remarks at the event, Ma noted that Caran d’Ache and the Miss World pageant do indeed have something in common, which is beauty with a purpose. Of course, this is the tagline of Miss World and it is quite literally what Caran d’Ache does.
