Besides your amazing voice, what’s your best quality or trait?
Trustworthiness. I’ve got a lot of friends’ secrets with me, and I guess these will probably accompany me to the grave.
What would you like our readers to know about you?
Contrary to popular belief, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth! I’ve always had to work hard for the things that I want. However, I am also extremely thankful for all the friends and angels who have helped me along in my career.
What’s next in your music career?
I might be working on some remixes. However, I definitely have to work on new material for a full-album. Hopefully, I can also explore the overseas market later this year. But right now I am just taking things one step at a time. It is really one whole learning process for me.
How did you decide on your album title ‘Unleashed’?
“Unleashed“, my first album, released on 11 April 2011, was written based on my own experience as well as my observation of Singaporean society. Societal expectations are extremely high here, and we are all expected to conform and I feel this really “imprisons” one’s soul.
Hence this song was written to encourage people to break free of this unhealthy cycle of expectations, to get themselves “Unleashed” and do what they really want to do; to chase their dreams and passions – because I believe this is what will truly make us happy.
What turns you on, gets your heart racing and makes you weak in the knees?
Dancing is a huge turn on – it definitely gets the blood pumping and, depending on the choreography, it can REALLY make one weak in the knees. No joke.
I could do It All Day & All Night Long. What would this be?
Dream. I am a Dreamer and am not ashamed to say it. However, I think it is also important to put your dreams into action and take steps to fulfill those Dreams.
What or Who are your biggest fashion influences?
I don’t have a particular fashion influence. I guess I just assimilate influences from the various fashion magazines stocked at Next Hair Salon when I go for my regular cut/color.
Who have you always dreamed of working with in the music industry?
If you weren’t a Singer what would you be?
Really unhappy. And probably bitter with my life. Which is why I’m really Thankful to be able to be doing what I’m doing! 🙂
What has a lady done to get your attention?
Flashed her boobies at me. No, I’m kidding. There was a girl who got hold of my phone number and started texting me wanting to be friends. I wasn’t too pleased with that though.
I’m fiercely protective of my privacy and moreover I think it is very rude to just pass someone’s number around.
And furthermore, she scolded me for being rude when I politely declined, saying that I didn’t even give her a chance. She got my attention, but probably not in the way she wanted.
