Pacific Place hosted a star-studded fashion show to kick off its three-week MY STYLE campaign on September 8. Running September 9-29, MY STYLE showcases the season’s hues and silhouettes through an eye-catching installation of larger-than-life magazines and books. Featured brands include DAKS, Harvey Nichols, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kate Spade New York, Kent & Curwen, Sergio Rossi, THE SWANK, MAX&Co., MARC BY MARC JACOBS and VIVIENNE TAM.
Sammi Cheng dropped by to show her support. The celebrated singer-cum-movie star believes that style should express one’s individual personality: “Make the trends work to your style, not the other way around. Don’t be afraid to be who you are”.
With her impeccable fashion sense and charismatic stage presence, Sammi offers the following styling tips for the season: polka dots and tartan patterns, fun to what is usually considered a sombre time of year; mannish shapes will create pared-down, androgynous chic; outsize accessories will add punch; and voluminous silhouettes will deliver a sweeping style statement.
MY STYLE also marked the official launch of MY PLACE, the mall’s inaugural and long-awaited lifestyle magazine.
