Jet-setters alert: Plaza Premium Lounge has taken wraps off their two-storey pay-in lounge in the US departures terminal at Edmonton International Airport.
Sleek and contemporary, the upper floor is laid with a rainforest style marble. The lower floor, carpeted with fine wool, exudes a more loungy vibe. Thanks in part to the two-storey high window façade, the lounge is bathed in warm natural sunlight – a nod perhaps, to the country’s eco-friendly ethos.
The menu features such morsels as croissants, muffins and soft cookies. Those desiring a heftier meal can opt for the pastas, pizzas and salads. At the cheekily named Lift-Me-Up corner, baristas are on hand to serve freshly brewed coffee and tea.
