To celebrate its long-term presence in China, Moet & Chandon staged a bubbly-infused Tribute to the Spirit of 1743 gala dinner at the glitzy Peninsula Shanghai Roof Top Terrace last week.

To top off a lip-smacking feast, Moët & Chandon unveiled a rare Grand Vintage 1911 to a host of international glitterai including the House’s celebrity muse Scarlett Johansson, acclaimed actress Shu Qi, Bollywood star Abhay Deol, Japanese actress Lilico and Korean actress-cum-model Seung Ah-Yoon.

Daniel Lalonde, president and CEO of Moët & Chandon, says: “Moët’s 168-year history in China, a country with an exceptional heritage, is based on our shared values: firmly rooted in tradition yet innovatively forward thinking. As the champagne of success and glamour since 1743, Moët is proud to host this magical evening in Shanghai with our ambassador Scarlett Johansson.”

Prior to the Shanghai dîner du siècle, a luxurious coffret of Grand Vintage 1911 was auctioned off at USD 10000 in Hong Kong, with proceeds going to the Nature Conservancy, a local environmental initiative helping to protect nature and preserve wildlife.
