We haven’t got past the hurdle of Christmas, but it’s never too early when it comes to limited edition spirits. Presenting the artfully packaged L’Essence de Courvoisier Xi, bottled to fete the looming Lunar New Year. The most prominent design detail on the tear-drop shaped Xi decanter is the Chinese symbol for “double happiness”, engraved with flourish in gold and befitting the celebratory toast sure to follow.
Billed as the “perfect blend created following years of exploration”, L’Essence de Courvoisier is widely regarded as the jewel of Courvoisier’s line of luxury cognacs. Consisting of over 100 precious ‘eaux-de-vie’ from the two most exclusive crus in the Cognac region, Grande Champagne and Borderies, the L’Essence de Courvoisier is a combination of rare blends housed in the cellars dating back to the early 20th century, particularly the 1970s and 1980s that signify key periods of innovation from Courvoisier.
Jonathan Chow, Managing Director of BGA, said of the new editon: “The launch of the L’Essence de Courvoisier Xi demonstrates BGA’s commitment to growing the brand and the category in a true revolutionary style in Singapore. We look forward to further driving Courvoisier’s innovative approach to cognac to our consumers with this exciting addition to our existing range, the perfect gift to celebrate all occasions in the new year.”
Recognised as one of the best cognacs in the world, L’Essence de Courvoisier is the winner of the Double Gold Medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits 2011, and a proud recipient of a Double Gold Medal and the title of Supreme Champion from the Drinks International Travel Retail Excellence Awards in 2010.
The highly collectable and exclusive L’Essence de Courvoisier Xi has a world-wide limited run of only 1,000 in this individually numbered series, of which 30 bottles will be available in Singapore from January 2013. Retailing at S$5,588 each, purchases can be made through Beam Global Asia.
