In August, the LANDMARK MEN pop-up store in Hongkong Land was transformed into a premier billiard parlor for its Pool Tournament Series. After two weeks of hard-fought competitions, the Series finally came to a consummate end on August 31.
Besides the jubilant award presentation ceremony, world snooker champion Marco Fu and celebrity Jennifer Tse soared in to show off their pool-playing skills in a friendly match.
Prior to the match, Fu explained how his interest in pool started: “My father and I used to play snooker every week since I was twelve, and that was probably the starting point of my career. I do play American Pool with my friends on a regular basis. However, the two are very different, both in terms of skills and tactics involved. Of course, it is easier for me to pick up pool as compared to a regular person.”
Tse also shared her passion for the sport: “I first started shooting pool when I was 14 years old. Since then, I played almost every week with my friends while studying in Canada. I still play occasionally with my boyfriend, but I have been super busy with film shooting lately and it is difficult to find time.”
