Fashion tea parties return to the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong this September, as four new designers have been lined up to showcase their Autumn/Winter Collection 2009 at the hotel’s Clipper Lounge.
But instead of Tuesdays, these chichi tea affairs will now take place every Thursday, with two shows each at 3 p.m. and 4.45 p.m.
“The Fashion T’s take place every three months in the Clipper Lounge and have become a ‘must-do’ event in Hong Kong’s social and fashion scene,” says Director of Food and Beverage Antoine Melon. “We are delighted to continue this tradition this September as we welcome these famous fashion names to Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong for a breath-taking show with afternoon tea.”
Having shown their Spring/Summer collections in March this year, Salvatore Ferragamo will kickstart the month-long tea parade on 10 September with their Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 men’s and women’s collections this time.
The following weeks will see models wearing Giorgio Armani, Escada and Charmonde sashaying down the catwalk at the Lounge, while the hotel looks to add more names to the fashion roster at a later date.
