CEO Of TWG Tea Awarded Order Of National Recompense By Morocco’s King Mohammed VI

Taha Bouqdib, co-founder of Singapore-based luxury tea company TWG Tea, was one of 38 prominent personalities from around the world decorated by Morocco’s King Mohammed VI during a special Honours Ceremony which began the Enthronement Day festivities on, July 30.

Bouqdib, 45, was decorated an Officer of the Order of Wissam al-Mukafaâ al-Wataniya, the Order of National Recompense, in recognition for his contributions in the establishment of a company specialized in the production of the finest quality tea in Singapore.

Marking the Monarch’s 16th year on the throne, honors also went to outstanding Moroccan and foreign figures from all walks of life, from professors, researchers and engineers to musicians, poets and actors. Each have represented their country in their respective domains and were decorated for their various accomplishments during this exceptional ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Rabat, Morocco.

Founded by the late King Mohammad V of Morocco, the Wissam al-Mukafaa al-Wataniya, Order of National Recompense, can be awarded in three classes, Commander, Officer, and Knight.
