Singapore Airlines (SIA) revamps its First Class cabin with seats and suites designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA. This endeavour was familiar territory for the BMW Group subsidiary, DesignworksUSA, as it has worked on previous projects for Boeing Business Jets, Embraer and Dassault Aviation. The high-profile Asian carrier will soon sport a First Class cabin with a cool new look and extra helpings of comfort, space and privacy.

The ambience in the cabin has been overhauled to pamper the passengers with greater levels of comfort, more privacy and increased stowage space for luggage and travel accoutrements. The new lounge-like islands feature outer walls that extend and embrace the passenger like a protective arm. If the passenger fancies a nap, the seat transforms into a bed large enough for reclining on one’s side.

BMW Group DesignworksUSA sourced and used only high-grade materials to craft the amenities in SIA’s First Class cabins. The seats are lined with fine leather and a new covering technique increases tension such that the upholstery remains smooth and pristine. Atmospheric lighting, personal storage cubbies and elegant tables add to the touch of opulence.

The new design will make its debut this September on board the new Boeing 777-300ER on selected flights between Singapore and London.
