Prestigious watchmaker Blancpain will be showing off their latest novelties from Baselworld 2012 at a special exhibition, to be held in Hong Kong and Macau over the next month. The stellar showcase, dubbed “Watchmaking Excellence – The Grand Arrival of Blancpain 2012 Novelties”, has already made its pit stop at the manufacture’s flagship at Central from April 28 to May 3, and will move on to delight watch fanciers at the Blancpain Boutique at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel from May 22 to 31, 2012.

Drumming up publicity for the display of the 2012 timepieces in Hong Kong was Marc Junod, Vice President Head of Sales of Blancpain SA, who flew in for the opening cocktail last week at the Central boutique, which saw famous faces in the watch industry gracing the event, including Sincere Chiu, Vice President of Blancpain Hong Kong and Macau. Upping the glam factor was actress Jess Shum, who was on hand to model the timepieces together with her dashing male counterpart.

Guests and friends of the brand were also treated to a one-off presentation by Marc Junod himself, who introduced some of the year’s highlights from Blancpain: the Villeret Traditional Chinese Calendar, the Villeret 8-Day Squelette, the Villeret Inverted Movement with White or Black Ceramic and the L-evolution One-minute Flying Sapphire Carrousel, to name a few.

Commenting on the glitzy event, Marc Junod said: “Thanks to the generous support of watch aficionados, Blancpain stands still in the realm of watchmaking for over a century. I am very honoured to be here today, to share our new launches, hence the results of extreme craftsmanship and know-how, with the watch enthusiasts in Hong Kong.”
