Fresh off the opening of his new museum-inspired atelier in Horsh Tabet, Lebanese haute couture fashion designer Basil Soda has launched his 2009 Summer Couture Collection of cocktail dresses and evening gowns amid the glamor of Paris Fashion Week.
The architectural influences that have inspired Soda’s past works continue to add a dramatic dimension to his latest collection, with each piece a delicate sculpture of fabrics experimenting with volume, asymmetry and geometrical forms. The female form takes center stage, with each of these elements coming together to create an image of a perfectly defined silhouette in a true celebration of feminine beauty.
