En route to the Australian Open in Sydney, American pro golfer Tiger Woods made a sensational stopover at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, where he stayed for the night in one of the iconic hotel’s superluxe suites.

Speaking to the press, Tiger Woods said: “I have heard so much about Marina Bay Sands in the past year that I had to come see it for myself.” His verdict of the place? Nothing short of spectacular.

The golfer, who has been steadily rebuilding his career after last year’s very public controversy, had a meet-and-greet with the local media at the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. Tiger Woods was then given a tour of the facilities and paused to take in the stunning cityscape view offered by the park’s famous infinity pool. Tight schedule permitting, Tiger said he would love to take a dip in the expansive pool of water, which stretches across all three towers of the property.

On his first night in town, the golfer also enjoyed a meal at celebrity chef restaurant, CUT, a premium steakhouse by Michelin starred chef Wolfgang Puck. Tiger mentioned during the press junket that while he has played on many Asian golf courses, he is very excited to test his drive on the Singapore golf courses – so don’t be surprised if you see the world champion teeing off at your favourite club over the next few days!
