‘Fast cars and cocktails’ sounds like more a photo caption on the Rich Kids of Instagram social media account, but as F1 fever grips Singapore, a slice of that life will come to shoppers at Wisma Atria.
From 4 to 20 September, Supercar Season at Wisma Atria will feature a weekend pop-up lounge at the indoor event space on level 1, complete with a live three-piece jazz band, a cocktail bar and a mixologist. It will be open Fridays to Sundays, 6pm to 10pm. Supporting partner and British supercar marque Aston Martin will also garage its Vanquish Coupe and two V12 Vantage S cars in a specially-built showcase that will bring a racy vibe to the mall.
Shoppers who spend $150 ($100 for tourists) or more will enjoy a complimentary cocktail or mocktail at the weekend pop-up lounge. Guests can choose their favourite tipple from a trio of cocktails concocted from premium spirits Snow Leopard Vodka, No.3 London Dry Gin or Glenrothes Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskey.
Adding to the excitement of Supercar Season is an appearance by British Formula 1 driver Jenson Button at TAG Heuer’s Art Helmet Design Competition on 17 September where helmet designs by LASALLE College of the Arts students will be showcased and will compete for a podium finish. Five lucky shoppers who spend $1,000 or more will win exclusive passes to meet Jenson Button at the event.
Other promotions for the month of September include complimentary limited-edition NETS FlashPay Cards, each with a stored value of $10 and emblazoned with Aston Martin car models, for shoppers who spend $300 or more. There will also be a lucky draw for a pair of tickets to London on Singapore Airlines, the birth place of Aston Martin. Citibank cardmembers get double the chance of winning and a slew of other shopping privileges. In addition, tourists who spend a minimum of $50 will receive a $10 voucher to be used at one of Wisma Atria’s F&B outlets.
