We recently assessed the results of Restaurant magazine’s “World’s 50 Best Restaurants List 2010”, which saw all change at the top with Noma claiming the highest prize. However there were also some notable performances from the Asia region including the debut of Singaporean eatery – Jaan par André.

The 40-seat restaurant is found on the 70th floor, 741ft above ground level in the Swissôtel The Stamford – South East Asia’s tallest hotel. The eatery registered at number 39 – the highest debut position ever achieved by a Singaporean establishment.

Aiden McAuley, Regional Vice President Asia Pacific for Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, said: “Swissôtel The Stamford and Equinox Complex are extremely proud of Jaan par André’s spectacular debut in this year’s ‘List’ – an honour which we must dedicate to our extraordinary culinary and service teams who epitomise our credo ‘A Passion For Perfection’, and have been instrumental in realising our vision of Jaan par André as an international destination for dining excellence.”

Jaan par André also recently picked up the title of Singapore’s ‘Restaurant Of The Year’ at the World Gourmet Summit Awards Of Excellence.
