While the Bank of China and IFC are some of the more prominent sky-scrapers to dot the skylines of Hong Kong, the latest newcomer, The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong is set to rival them in height. The magnificent hotel opened its doors on March 29 to become the world’s highest hotel.

Located at the very top of the International Commerce Centre (ICC), The Ritz occupies floors 102 to 118. Upon arrival, guests are ushered into the expansive reception lobby on the 9th floor before being promptly whisked away to the hotel lobby on the 103th floor. There, they can admire the panoramic views of Victoria Harbor while perusing the delights of the Chocolate Library, a chocolate-themed lounge.

The Ritz houses a total of 312 guest rooms, from the 50 square-meter Deluxe Room to the magnificent 365 square-meter Ritz-Carlton Suite. Room amenities include WiFi, iPod docking stations and flat screen TVs.

Helmed by exceptional chefs and designed by some of the biggest names in the industry, the hotel’s six dining venues provide a feast for the discerning palate and eye.  Located on the top floor, Ozone is a sleek and stylish restaurant/bar that deserves special mention. Besides serving contemporary Asian tapas, signature cocktails and a well-curated wine list, Ozone doubles as the world’s highest al fresco terrace, where guests can indulge in the incredible views of the city.

To wind down after a long day, head over to the Ritz-Carlton Spa designed by ESPA. Located on the 116th floor, the spa features nine deluxe treatment rooms and two couple’s suites that are all equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows.
