The two protagonists in the new Wall Street film “Money Never Sleeps” (Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf) have donned IWC timepieces for the second edition of the iconic movie.
LaBeouf plays Jacob Moore and is spotted with a Portuguese Perpetual Calendar (Ref. IW502303) while Douglas plays Gordon Gekko and carries a Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus in rose gold (Ref. IW376205).
The latter timepiece is a limited edition model (above) and comes in red gold 5N with a black dial. It is the fifth edition of the Da Vinci model made in honour of Kurt Klaus.
Featuring the date, day, month and year in four separate displays, it also boasts a perpetual moon phase complication and a chronograph function with the ability to record and store aggregate times for up to twelve hours. Limited to a production run of 1,000 units, each one sports its individual number on the case back and Kurt Klaus’s signature on the dial.
In contrast the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar (above) has been given a gentle facelift and the range has been extended to include two new variants in red gold and two in white gold.
