With Miu Miu’s resort 2016 collection, Miuccia Prada took a journey into the world of night clubs with colorful looks inspired by Parisian nightlife.
The result was a runway show featuring a bold explosion of color, print and fabrics. Graphic stripes paired with metallic and skirts featuring geometric cut-outs were contrasted by boxy jackets for a playful effect. There is some familiarity to the brand’s heritage with the references to the 50s and 60s including knee-length skirts, strong shoulders and bi-color heels. Lacquered brights, grommet cut-outs and skirts decorated with large circles and loose-hanging fabrics bring a party vibe to the resort season.
