Models wearing Mikimoto necklaces
In conjunction with its 120th anniversary, Japanese pearl jeweller, Mikimoto, recently opened its new flagship boutique at The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands, in Singapore. The opening of the 409-square feet boutique was attended by more than 150 invited guests over two sessions. Gracing the occasion was leading Hong Kong actress, Linda Chung, who looked stunning in a sea-blue gown. She was also wearing a multi-strand necklace named ‘White Bouquet’. Worth over S$2.2 million, the exquisite necklace by Mikimoto was crafted with South Sea pearls, Akoya pearls and diamonds.
The guests at the event were treated to free-flowing champagne and a sumptuous spread of canapes, as they walked down an exhibit that showcased Mikimoto’s key milestones over the past 120 years. Aside from the exhibit, there was also a jewelry presentation with models wearing Mikimoto’s bespoke, statement pieces worth nearly S$2.7 million.
