Longines, long-time supporter of equestrian sporting culture, was the new official partner and timekeeper of the 79th CSIO Piazza di Siena, which took place from May 26 to 29. The event was a quietly glamorous one, with famous personalities such as the beautiful Nina Senicar, horsewoman and equestrian sports lover, gracing Longines’ stand in the days spanning the show.

At the horserace in Rome, Longines also presented its new Column-Wheel Chronograph, a timepiece inspired by the precision and strength of equestrian sports. The stainless steel case houses an exclusive self-winding caliber with a blue column-wheel that can be admired through the transparent back. This model also boasts a silvered dial with 13 indexes and offers chronograph functions, central seconds sweep, and 30-minutes and 12-hour counters. A chocolate brown alligator strap adds a luxurious, timeless accent to this elegant watch.

Since the early days of its involvement in this field, the Swiss watchmaker have taken part in over one hundred national and international equestrian events, and has been responsible for timing many competitions such as world championships, European championships and various other events organised by the CSIO and the Arab Equestrian League.
