Lalique, the French maker of fine crystal art and jewelry, introduces a new decanter each year. These decanters are reproduced from vintage designs and are highly sought after by collectors. This year’s addition to the series is the Orchidee Decanter. The Lalique 2014 Vintage Edition – Orchidee Decanter, was envisaged and created to satisfy the demands of refined connoisseurs and collectors.
The contemporary, clear crystal decanter is dramatically topped by a magnificent hand-etched amber crystal stopper that represents a wild orchid. The amber crystal stopper is inspired an original Rene Lalique sculpture from the early 20th century. Moreover the stark amber color of the stopper creates a stunning contrast with the colors of different wines – from dark red to yellow crystalline.
