From silver screen princesses to the king of rock ‘n’ roll and Superman, the world’s icons were played by members of society, lending star power to the 10th anniversary of the Kidz Horizon Appeal, which has been providing support for needy women and children with cancer and chronic diseases through its partnership with KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore on Aug 23.
Guest of honour deputy prime minister Teo Chee Hean gave an impromptu speech during the evening of fine wining and dining. Among the guests were other ministers past and present including Yu-Foo Yee Shoon and Ng Eng Hen, CEO of KKH Kenneth Kwok and chairperson of the Appeal, Caroline Low-Heah.
