7 for All Mankind is set to release the video for its S/S13 campaign, and the director is none other than controversial American actor James Franco.
Dubbed A Beautiful Odyssey, the video was inspired by English Romantic poet William Blake. Shot in a series of dreamy black and white sequences, the film tells the story of two newly-weds and is set at California beach.
Throughout the month of March, audience members will get to vote for one of the three trailers that will appear on the 7 for All Mankind Hong Kong Facebook page and brand website. The result – an Audience Cut edition of A Beautiful Odyssey – will be released on April 25, to co-incide with an exclusive screening of Franco’s Director Cut in Los Angeles.
The video is fronted by supermodel Elize Crombez, actor Peter Vack and Project Runway All Star guest judge Sean Avery.
Franco states: “Love is a beautiful thing. A powerful thing. But there are different textures to it. There’s a range of emotion that goes beyond happiness alone. People like to pretend that part’s not there, but that’s the way passion is. We didn’t shy away from that. We went for it– with a vision of a California beach wedding.”
The first trailer will be released March 7, in the meantime, scroll down for the Behind the Scenes video.
