Much from Juergen Teller’s work reminds of Terry Richardson’s. And that’s not a good thing. I admit it’s a subjective point of view and as a fashion bystander I sometimes go (just) skin deep into some issues.
Talking about skin. Have you noticed Marc Jacobs’ Bang ad? Bang is Marc’s latest perfume for men and advertising it he found nothing more suitable than his very own (clothes-less) persona. Oiled and laid back.
And even though he said this was his associate’s idea, I’m having difficulties in discarding the heavy deja-vu feeling (and the greasiness of it all) –remember this? and this? What do you make of Juergen Teller’s Marc Jacobs Bang Perfume Ad? (Just in case: the perfume drops on July 30 in stores and it’ll be accompanied by a very aggressive campaign with yes, this very image!)
