Hennessy’s latest creation, the Paradis Impérial, was introduced in right royal style in Hong Kong and Macau, complete with a specially constructed Hennessy Palace museum at the Grand Hyatt Macau and a three-night gala festival. Over 300 regional VIP guests, including personalities such as Andy On and Cecilia Yip, toured the Hennessy Palace, with its architecture aimed at recreating the august nostalgia of Imperial Russia, the primary inspiration for the Paradis Impérial.
Derived from an ancient eaux-de-vie, the premium cognac is a reinterpretation of a special order placed by the Russian Empress Maria Feodorovna in 1818, to celebrate the birthday of her son Tsar Alexander I on Christmas Eve.Taste-wise, the Paradis Impérial emanates lovely, delicate notes, woody and floral with jasmine and orange blossom.
To showcase this exceptional ambrosia, the House of Hennessy called upon designer Stéphanie Balini to create an exquisite decanter, its faceted surface crowned with a crystal cabochon and adorned with an 18-carat gold-plated label. Each decanter is also individually numbered and nestled in a golden-lined casket that does double duty as a pedestal and protective case.
