Hitting a hyper sexy note, served with urban refinement, and trimmed in ethnic appeal, Alexandre Vauthier‘s spring 2014 couture collection was spiked with an unexpected surf fetish, made apparent through the accessorizing of ankle-strapped, Louboutin heels and a fold-over clutch that had a chain running between them, mimicking a surfboard leash.
Well executed tailoring was delivered as expected, in a symphony of white, gold, black, burgundy and a hint of mustard. Adding to the ethnic flair of this collection were tops and dresses knotted from hand-woven ropes, and others treated with jewel-encrusted paneling, intricate leather braiding, and extra-long fringes.
Already one of Hollywood’s red carpet favorites, Alexandre serves up a deliciously saucy collection where surf meets chic, riding waves of sex appeal & experimentation with a selection of sharp white blazers, plunging necklines, leg-baring slits, and short hemlines.
