Helsinki-Vantaa airport’s Finnair Lounge has been voted the world’s best from a list of 600 premium lounges, the first time a lounge outside North America has won the award in its seven-year history. The choice was made by 40,000 frequently traveling Priority Pass customers.
The stylish Finnair Lounge can accommodate about 250 customers and its facilities include individual shower rooms, a varied buffet spread, and a Via Bar and Samsung LED TVs in expansive relaxation areas. Work facilities and services include free wifi, Apple iMac work stations, and the signature Finnish Powerkiss desk with functions such as wireless mobile phone recharging.
“The Finnair Lounge and Spa & Saunas are an authentic entity in the airport environment that demonstrate Finnair’s real concern for its customers’ wellness,” says Markku Remes, responsible for the development of Finnair customer service at Helsinki-Vantaa. “We want to distinguish our advantages in the hotly competitive Europe-Asia market with excellent services. This award is fine recognition of how our service renewal is succeeding.”
The Finnair Lounge is open for Finnair and Oneworld tier level and Business Class passengers and, for a fee, to other customers.
