Italian jeweler Bulgari pulled out all the stops to celebrate the re-opening of their Hong Kong flagship on January 17.
Acclaimed actress Hilary Swank dazzled in Bulgari’s signature coloured gem necklace of more than 165 carats. She accentuated her curves with a floor-length black number. Meanwhile, Adrien Brody, who was recently appointed ambassador of Bulgari’s Watches and Eyewear collections, was seen showing off the Octo on his wrist.
Also present at the jubilant occasion were Chinese actress Michelle Reis and actor Donnie Yen.
The refurbished store doesn’t lose out on the glamour front, with a scintillating Murano crystal chandelier and Veneziana marble flooring delivering an abundance of swank and sass. There is also an exclusive VIP area for guests to view their diamonds and other precious stones in complete privacy.
Among the numerous pieces on display, the star of the show is none other than the late actress Elizabeth Taylor’s private Bulgari collection, shown for the first time in Hong Kong. Acquired at the Christie’s Auction in December 2011, the collection includes such iconic pieces as a breath-taking Sautoir necklace in platinum with sapphires and diamonds.
