Endowed with 2.95 carats of precious stones, Blancpain‘s Saint-Valentin 2012 Flyback Chronograph is an opulent gift for your loved one.
A testament to the craftsmanship of Blancpain’s master-dialers, the engraved mother-of-pearl dial features a marquetry-work motif composed of three white mother-of-pearl hearts. 8 diamonds form a scintillating halo around the hearts. The hour and minute hands take centre stage, with the seconds shown on a subdial at 6 o’clock and the date appearing through an oval aperture at 12 o’clock. The chronograph function is displayed by a central sweep seconds hand, while the elapsed minutes and hours are counted off on totalizers at 3 and 9 o’clock. The chronograph and flyback function are controlled by way of two pushpieces, covered with cabochon-cut rubies and located at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock respectively.
In an addition nod to Cupid, the heart-shaped counterweight of the central sweep seconds hand is delicately hand-painted with a feather, endowing it with a distinctive convex shape.
Revealed through the sapphire crystal back of the 36mm case, the Saint-Valentin 2012 Flyback Chronograph is powered by the calibre F185. The oscillating weight is clothed in pink mother-of-pearl, whereas the movement is set with 37 jewels.
Available in a limited edition of 14 watches, the Blancpain Saint-Valentin is fitted with a white alligator leather strap and presented in a precious wooden box lined with white nappa leather.
