Baume & Mercier‘s new addition to their lovely Linea family is a sleek automatic. Housed in a generous 32mm case, the new Linea Automatic frames a snailed mother-of-pearl dial and boasts a sapphire crystal case back showcasing an open-worked oscillating weight adorned with the famous Phi symbol.
Loyal to its principle of interchangeability, the new Linea Automatic is presented with a polished, satin-finished steel bracelet complete with triple folding security clasp as well as a black satin strap, so you’ll have a timepiece to take you from the office to a cocktail reception.
Commenting on the new Automatic model, Director of the Baume & Mercier Design Studio, Alexandre Peraldi said: “The new Linea had to be a radical innovation, and not just in terms of design.”
“For several years now, we’ve been paying attention to women’s growing interest in automatic movements. This is hardly surprising, since such mechanisms are drawn upon fascinating expertise and are entirely in tune with a sustainable worldview. Listen to women, they’re always one movement ahead!”
A blockbuster hit and lady’s favorite since its 1987 launch, the Linea holds the distinction of being the first watch to come with an interchangeable bracelet – a symbol of the multi-faceted status of women in the world today. The beautifully rounded, curved new Linea skillfully preserves the spirit of the original, while combining it with a blend of modernity and elegance.
