On 10 May 2013, ChindAsia Capital Partners Limited, a leading lifestyle investment company, has launched Asia’s first Whisgars in the heart of Bangkok as part of an ambitious strategy to grow the new brand across South-East Asia.
Drawing on its experience of managing the distinguished Club Perdomo Bangkok, a private members club, ChindAsia’s new “Premier whisky and cigar bar” concept presents one of the largest collections of single cask whiskies in all of Asia along with premium hand-rolled cigars of exceptional quality, amidst refreshingly modern surroundings.
ChindAsia recently acquired whisky distributor Spirit of Scotland, enabling the company to source a vast range of premium hand-selected single cask whiskies direct from Scotland. Additionally, ChindAsia is also broadening its range of premium hand-rolled cigars, after holding exclusive distributorship of Perdomo Cigars for over a decade to include award wining brands such as EP Carrillo, Pinar Del Rio, Gran Habano, Carlos Torano, El Primer Mundo and many more.

Whisgars Bangkok, the first of more than 30 locations to be launched in Asia in the next three years, shares its location with Giusto Restaurant in Sukhumvit Soi 23, a popular and authentic Italian eatery established for over a decade in the city.

Whisgars will also satisfy customers looking to purchase whiskies and cigars to enjoy at home, with a selection unrivalled in Thailand; eventually, there will be over 300 labels available, some of which are offered in global quantities of less than 500 bottles, plus over 40 types of premium cigars.
Whisgars is owned and operated by ChindAsia, the creators of the uber exclusive Club Perdomo Bangkok; a private members club nestled quietly in Sukhumvit Soi 28 in Bangkok; its success has been responsible for the partners’ decision to offer a fresh and modern venue to the general public, culminating in the creation of Whisgars and it’s ‘Premier whisky and cigar bar’ concept.
