For the first time since their unveiling at the annual Geneva Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), A. Lange & Söhne‘s 2014 debuts were showcased in Singapore. In an evening of firsts, with a heritage set against old-world refinement, A. Lange & Söhne launched the worldwide tour of its 2014 novelty collection on February 27, at the The Flutes Restaurant within the National Museum of Singapore.
The VIP clientele at the vent were among the first consumers in the world to view the new collection since it debut at SIHH. A. Lange & Söhne hosted 48 of it most avid collectors at the highly exclusive dinner event. Guests mingled over roving hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, before being ushered to their seats at elegantly set long tables were they were served a sumptuous six-course meal that was paired with five of Glenlivet’s whiskeys, aged 12 to 25 years.
Aside from having the chance to mingle with the German watchmaking company’s Managing Director of Asia Pacific, Franck Giacobini, and the founder of the A. Lange & Söhne Akademie, Joanna Lange, guests were also escorted in small numbers to a private viewing room to get up close and personal with A. Lange & Söhne’s highlights of the year. After dinner, drinks flowed generously as merriment and chatter ensued, beneath a faint plume of cigar scented air.
