Gabriel Lee showed cocoon-like proportions, silver beads where studs used to be and a nature theme, while Will Be showed effortless cool with his monochromatic, raw finishings and matchy-matchy menswear.
Diyana Kosso The Iraqi-born designer’s latest collection focused on romantic prints with touches of peek-a-boo sheer, frills and florals. graphical blue and white dresses, metallics and lace, also played up the feminine and whimsical aesthetics of the collection . This was another show featuring wet-look hair, this time parted at the side with damp flyaways.
Fatima Asanovski showed next-level panelling with her dresses-in-pieces. The Singaporean designers behind Ophélie showed a fresh take on far-east Asian dress, with more billowing silhouettes and luxurious quilting and bird motifs. Altogether the designers represented a bright, diverse and hopeful future for Australian design.
