The Spring/Summer 2013 collection from Danish label Wood Wood pulls its inspiration from the “Summer of Love” phenomenon which first occurred in 1967 San Francisco – the center of the hippie movement – and then again in Great Britain in the late ’80s, where rave culture and Acid House exploded along with the introduction of MDMA.
By drawing elements from both these movements, the collection is a distinct combination of Scandinavian tailoring and streetwear, with synthetic materials working seamlessly alongside natural wools and cottons.
With this background the collection features elements from the historic movement combined with the contemporary Wood Wood aesthetics. The “3rd Movement” collection will launch on the Wood Wood online store on January 28th and will be in all Wood Wood stores on January 29th.
