The famous chef Tetsuya Wakuda has launched a fine dining restaurant in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore called Waku Ghin.
His only restaurant outside Sydney, there are several eating areas within the 8,000 square-foot space which allow diners to move from room to room throughout the experience.
Marina Bay Sands President and CEO, Mr. Thomas Arasi, said: “Tetsuya’s immense talent, attention to detail and perfectionist nature, combined with the restaurant’s spectacular setting at Marina Bay Sands, will make Waku Ghin a destination in itself for discerning diners from around the world.”
“Together with our other celebrity chef restaurants, Waku Ghin will add lustre and depth to Singapore’s evolving dining scene.”
The European-based/Japanese-influenced menu features a number of signature dishes including Marinated Botan Shrimp with Sea Urchin and Caviar as well as Australian Wagyu with Wasabi and Citrus Soy.
“It has been both exciting and inspirational developing this new menu,” said the chef. “I have been able to source at ease from further afield than I would from Tetsuya’s Sydney. To be able to bring the energy and creativity of the kitchen direct to the diner at the table has always been my ambition.”
The 10-course degustation menu is available only for dinner and for up to 25 guests at a time.
