In its first foray out of the United Kingdom, Thistle Hotels will mark its entrance to Asia with two key hotel properties in Malaysia, built at a combined cost of $14.2 million, and set to open in the middle of this year.
Thistle Port Dickson Resort, a 251-room beach hotel nestled in 90 acres of sprawling greens, including a nine-hole golf course, with commanding views of the sea, will open in June 2009. Thistle Johor Bahru follows a month later, branding itself as a “high end yet affordable” business hotel.
