The Glenlivet has worked together with award-winning designer and furniture maker Gareth Neal to create The Glenlivet Nàdurra Dram Chair. The chair has a unique masculinity to it, giving it the sort of quality that you should expect from an exceptional piece of contemporary craft. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Gareth Neal, he is known for his use of natural materials. His use of these naturally sourced materials to create furniture that explores and redefines traditions, made him the perfect choice to craft The Glenlivet Nàdurra Dram Chair.
Designed to highlight the craft credentials of Nàdurra, the chair is crafted entirely by hand using premium oak, copper and leather – which are essentially the materials found at The Glenlivet’s distillery and Nàdurra casks. Nàdurra in Gaelic means natural; as such, Nàdurra whisky is crafted in small batches using traditional 19th century methods. This also means that each bottle is filled at natural cask strength.
The Glenlivet Nàdurra Dram Chair is set to be revealed on October 22. Until the chair is officially available, The Glenlivet offers whisky lovers and connoisseurs a privileged peek at this exceptional collaboration – the perfect chair to enjoy a dram of fine whisky.
