The pressure absorbing material used by Tempur was initially developed by NASA to help cushion and support astronauts during lift-off as they needed an exceptional way of evenly distributing weight and pressure. This material was later perfected to become Tempur. Tempur is the only mattress and pillow brand licensed by the US Space Foundation to use NASA’s Certified Technology Seal. Tempur has launched its new Weightless campaign, with the message, ‘Sleeping on a Tempur mattress makes you feel weightless, helps you sleep better to wake up feeling refreshed and enjoy good mornings everyday.’ On May 30, Tempur created a fun, light-hearted “bubble” experience right in the heart of Orchard Road, inSingapore.
A bubble button was placed on a busy area in Orchard Road along Mandarin Gallery towards Takashimaya. The button had no clear instructions but simply said “Press Here”. As you would expect, curious passers-by did exactly that…they pressed it. Once the button was pressed the passers-by were surrounded by a flurry of bubbles. They were then given Tempur-branded bubble bottles. The entire bubble experience was captured via hidden cameras – you can view the video below.
