When we think of concrete furniture, what comes to mind off the top of our heads are immovable benches and tables that one might find in outdoor recreational areas like parks. However, we have seen and heard of design houses offering some unique examples of concrete furniture for the home. Though none of these are typically movable…at least not very easily. German design studio, Paulsberg’s, ‘Rocking Chair’ from its swing collection could be the exception.
This could just be the world’s first concrete rocking chair! Just because this chair is made from concrete, it does not mean that it only offers the same amount of comfort as concrete will. The striking 5mm thin carbon fibre-reinforced concrete is padded and upholstered in plush and comfy bio-leather. The base of the chair is padded with a sheet of leather that protects the floor from the grit of the concrete.
