Ever since the Esplanade in Singapore opened back in 2003, Patek Philippe has supported the arts centre to nurture the arts and continue artistic tradition in the region. Due to its continued support, Patek Philippe has been honored with the ‘Arts Benefactor’ status. As Arts Benefactor, Patek Philippe recently presented the world famous Bolshoi Ballet on November 21, making its only appearance in Asia this year with Swan Lake.
Patek Philippe also hosted a VIP evening, together with Cortina and The Hour Glass. The guests at the event enjoyed a cocktail reception and a light Russian-themed buffet dinner. Aside from the viewing a selective presentation of Baselworld 2013 novelties, VIPs also had the opportunity to interact with two of the leading soloist performers from Bolshoi Ballet.
Bolshoi Principal dancer Yan Godovsky and pianist Elena Prazdnikova, conducted a Master Class at SOTA (Singapore’s first independent, pre-tertiary arts school to offer a unique integrated arts and academic curriculum for youths). The creme de la creme of the ballet students were selected to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
